The paper introduces an application method of ICA on automobiles’ vibration considering dynamical properties and examines the performance through a driving test using experimental car. Original ICA is meaningful in separation of mixed signals, and the proposed method realizes consideration of dynamical properties. By applying proposed method, separation of road irregularity information is conducted. Vertical accelerations on uprights, body frame, and trunk are measured. Integral, and differential of accelerations are calculated and those signals are also considered observed signals as well as measured accelerations. Then, ICA is processed. As a result, characteristic of road irregularity is separated from observed signals.
