Based on the urgent requirement for protection inshore fishing resources and rehabilitation of ecosystem, the theoretical study and practical use of artificial fish-reef (AFR) is necessary for fishery. In this paper the physical experiments and numerical simulation are carried out for hydrodynamics and ecological effects of the AFR. The most important nature hazards in China Sea—the typhoon induced extreme sea combinations (extreme wave height with the lowest sea level) are involved to risk assessment of AFR.
