Anti-slide pile, which can be classified mainly into two categories: normal anti-slide pile and anchorage pile, is the most popular way to treat landslides in China. Presently, in the treatment of landslide disaster, the design parameters of anti-slide pile are depended mainly on experience or hand trail calculation. However, this has proved to be conservative and led to enormous waste. Based on the basic design theory of normal anti-slide pile and anchorage pile and the consideration of overall cost as objective function, an optimization model is built in the paper.
