Summary
This chapter explains the application of offshore triceratops as support systems for wind turbines. The response behavior of an offshore wind turbine supported on a triceratops, obtained through numerical investigations, is also presented. Fatigue analysis and service life prediction of tethers are also discussed. This chapter also presents recent developments in conceptual models of triceratops with different types of buoyant leg configurations. Conceptual models of stiffened and elliptical buoyant legs are presented. The detailed response of the triceratops to wave actions is also presented.
