The Journal of Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Science is an exciting new venture established this year by the ASME with the support and sponsorship of the Nuclear Engineering Division (NED) of the Society. For many years, the Executive Committee of the ASME NED felt the need for a new nuclear engineering journal, which would cover a wide range of nuclear engineering and radiation science topics important to all specialists within the nuclear industry and beyond. This need for a new journal is based on the following rationale.
